MORE Opens Second Studio in Amsterdam — Close
MORE is excited to announce the firm has opened a second office in Amsterdam. Located at the Lauriergracht in the historic canal district, the office is now able to serve clients both in China and Europe. Opening a second studio in Amsterdam makes MORE one of the first architecture firms emerging in China, and expanding towards the West. This allows MORE to bring their experience and knowledge from China to Europe. The Amsterdam office will be lead by Daan Roggeveen. ‘After more than a decade in China, it is great to have the opportunity to set up an office in my hometown ‘, says Roggeveen. ‘I look forward to work with and contribute to the community here.’ MORE deliberately chose for an office in the old city centre. The building – a former orphanage – is a structure of more than 300 years old. ‘It is a testimony of the power of architecture and durability’, says Roggeveen. ‘To paraphrase Jane Jacobs: here, new ideas will emerge from old buildings.’ The MORE Shanghai office continues to be led by Robert Chen (business) and Daan Roggeveen (creative).
