Progress & Prosperity at Shenzhen Biennale — Close
We are excited to announce that we will present ‘Progress & Prosperity’ with four of its contributors at this year’s Shenzhen Biennale. The panel is titled ‘Capital, Culture, Countryside’ and will discuss urgent urban questions: are Chinese cities moving from a focus on the financial, to a focus on well-being? What is the role of gentrification and cultural infrastructure in that process? And what is the balance between urban and rural? An introduction by Daan Roggeveen (editor) will be followed by interviews and discussion with Steven Y.N. Chen (Architect, SHL, Shanghai), Jeffrey Johnson (Director, School of Architecture, UK/CoD), Zhou Ying (Assistant professor, University of Hong Kong) and Ou Ning (Curator / writer). The launch is part of a series of global conversations, bringing together contributors from all over the planet. We look forward to seeing you in Shenzhen!
