Buikslotermeerplein is a large scale shopping centre in the north of Amsterdam. In the coming years, the shopping centre will transform into a mixed use heart of the district. This densification will not be a top down urban plan, but rather a participatory project in which the City of Amsterdam, developers, architects and the community collaborate. Through design workshops, design options are explored by all stakeholders. The result is a set of ‘game rules’ defining the quality of the area. Client: City of Amsterdam Design: 2021 – 2023 Team: Daan Roggeveen with Ties Kweekel, Morgane Garnier, Elodie Michel, Amelie Burgniard, Nicolas Stanislas
