An Ko Rau 0 – a functional, imaginative and playful fashion brand – wanted to create a concept store that emphasized the community around its products. Rather than focusing solely on sales, the ambition was to create a kind of clubhouse: a place that expresses the idea of sport as a collective effort.
MORE Architecture proposed to turn the shop into a changing room: a truly social space. Before sports take place, people transform from ‘normal people’ into sportsmen and –women. Afterwards, the changing room becomes a place for celebrating, meeting and socializing.
The concept allowed for a clean and simple interior, creating a neutral backdrop for the colourful apparel of the brand. Custom-made lockers provide flexible display space, while an ingenious hanging system allows the presentation of the collection to be continuously changed and adapted.
The façade becomes a direct expression of the brand. Its characteristic green colour is used for a generous sliding window, which can open the shop towards the street and create an outdoor hangout space in spring and autumn. The brand name is punched into a massive steel door, making the identity of the space unmistakable.
The result is not simply a fashion store, but a clubhouse for the An Ko Rau 0 community: a place where people come together, transform, prepare, celebrate and share their passion for sport.
